CellLens in action20 seconds · Fictional demo data

Select a product code. CellLens shows its stock records from SQL Server.

No sound needed

All your systems, one place to look

Configure the lookups your work depends on, then read the answer without leaving Excel.

Connect different systems

Connect the MySQL, Firebird, SQL Server or PostgreSQL databases behind your ERP, inventory software or other business applications.

Look up different tables

Switch between saved lookups for product details, stock, orders or other records. Each lookup uses its configured connection and table.

Get answers without leaving Excel

Read the results alongside your worksheet instead of opening another application and searching for the same code again.

Your connections, your rules

Each saved lookup uses the connection and table your administrator configured.

Switch without switching apps

Move between lookups when the answer lives in another table or system.

ONE SKU · TWO SOURCES

Stock in one system. Orders in another.

See what each saved lookup tells you about the same product.

INVENTORY · SQL SERVER

Which sizes are available, and where?

One product code can match several stock records. Here, TESSA74X returns eight combinations of colour, size and location from the inventory database.

  • Available stock alongside reserved quantities
  • Product origin alongside stock details

SALES · POSTGRESQL

Who ordered this product?

The same TESSA74X code returns six order lines from a separate sales database. Read the customer, order date, quantity, unit price and status beside your worksheet.

  • Same SKU, a different connection and table
  • Keep the worksheet open while checking orders

About the unsigned installer and Windows warnings

This release does not have an Authenticode digital signature. Your browser or Windows SmartScreen may warn that the file or publisher is unrecognised. A reputation warning is not a malware scan result, and signing a future release does not guarantee that warnings will disappear.

If your organisation manages software installation, ask your IT team to review the installer. Do not bypass a malware detection or an organisation policy to install it.

To compare your download with this published release, open PowerShell in the folder containing the installer and run:

Get-FileHash .\CellLens-Setup-1.0.0.338.exe -Algorithm SHA256

It should print
41A237427EB21B57453DCED66E778E9179AFD14F76825DEB5783D79D38531C60

A matching SHA-256 confirms that the file matches this release; it does not certify that a file is safe. Read Microsoft’s explanation of SmartScreen reputation.

What happens after the trial?

After 30 days, CellLens requires a valid licence to continue using lookups. Trial expiry does not delete your database records or saved Excel workbooks.

The annual launch price is €99 per user, excluding applicable taxes. To purchase a licence, contact us by email. Online checkout is not available, and there is no automatic charge. Contact Rigacell.

In detail

Set up the connection.
Keep the answer close.

Connect a source, save a lookup, and choose how the results appear. Click any screenshot to read the actual settings.

01 / CONNECT THE SOURCES

Give each database a familiar name.

Save a connection for each source you need. In this demo, inventory lives in SQL Server and sales in PostgreSQL. Each lookup chooses which connection to use.

  • Separate connections for separate systems
  • Configure access with your database administrator
  • Reuse a connection across several lookups

02 / DEFINE THE ANSWER

Choose which field your Excel cell searches.

In Simple mode, choose a table and click the circle under Search on beside the column to match against your selected Excel cell. Here, SKU is selected. Choose Location instead, save the lookup, then select a location name in Excel to find its stock records.

  • One search field per lookup, chosen by you
  • Choose the result columns and rename their headings
  • Set the order of columns and sort the results
The filled circle under Search on selects SKU. Click another column’s circle to change the search field.

OPTIONAL / FOR YOUR DATABASE TEAM

Use an existing query when you need more control.

Advanced mode lets your database team define a query. This Customer orders example reads a PostgreSQL view and uses @value for the code selected in Excel.

  • An alternative to the Simple table picker
  • The selected value is passed as a query parameter
  • Save the query as a named lookup

03 / FIT YOUR WORKSPACE

Keep the answer where you can see it.

Dock the panel above your worksheet to give wider tables more room, or on the right to read results beside your cells. Here, customer orders stay above the selected product code.

  • Above the worksheet for wider tables
  • On the right for side-by-side reading
  • Adjust the panel dimensions to fit your work

Your workflow, with CellLens

Your data lives in different systems. Your work stays in Excel.

Check stock in one system, order details in another, or product information in a different table. Switch between your configured lookups while keeping your worksheet in view.

01

Connect your data sources

With your database administrator, configure access to the supported databases behind the business systems you use.

02

Save the lookups you need

Choose the connection, table, search field and result columns, then give the lookup a name that makes sense for your work. Set up once, and it is there every morning.

03

Find the answer in Excel

Select a cell containing a product code, order reference or another value. Choose a saved lookup and read the results in Excel. Switch lookups when you need information from another table or system.
